one always used to find this on the bottom row of the candy aisle, so near down to the floor where the dust bunnies gather. never wanted it because it was no bubblicious or freshen up and it always tended to be hard as a rock. now it seems so quaint, so old school with that certain pink charm and naiveté ... maybe it was the comic on the inside that makes it seem nostalgic.
Bazooka Joe bubble gum, $.06 at Topps Company.
you're right, i missed one of my fivedays. stuff happens. pictured is the forest green air freshner i purchased at a truck stop. the scent is so strong it's burning my eyeballs. website says, "6500 languages, 195 countries, 4 brands, 1 tree". someone is making a mint - a pine scented forest rather - off these little trees.
Forest Fresh air freshner, $1.79 at Little Trees.
what a pain, faulty ketchup packet. what's that you say? ohhhhh ... it's an oops! fake spill ketchup packet and there really can't be enough of those in the world now can there. what i absolutely love about the cardboard packaging it comes in is that it says on the front, "ha-ha!" i appreciate that it encourages, nay, commands you to laugh. actually, i am rotflmao right now, it's just too much.
Oops! Fake Spill from Ja-Ru.
because i am always up for a goof and because sapp bros. truck stop figured a lot in my childhood, i thought for may that i would focus fivedays on things you can purchase at a truck stop. here we have a scrumptious highly processed delicious treat that i alway coveted but could never quite convince my folks i deserved. isn't this, like, the worst flavor option? it's called crumb. the powdered sugar ones were a messy disaster and the chocolate covered ones had a oily mouth feel. ha!
Donettes from Hostess, $1. Fun facts here.
this blouse is triple my $100 limit but it is soooooooooo lovely and i love how they've styled it here. it's just right, taking that very girly OTT silky print and keepin' it real with the dark denim blue jeans. well done photostylist!
Odylyne flutter top in tea rose, $300 at Principessa.
because the packaging is so great however it seems impossible to find. think it came out last year and i have yet to see it stateside. going to scour the pharmacies and beauty supply stores while in england this summer and, hopefully, score.
Pop Stick in pink lollipop from Maybelline.
dined out last night with some gal pals and had a delectable handmade ice cream for dessert. soon ice cream season will be upon us so do yourself a favor: find your local favorite and patronize the heck out of it (the winter months can be slow for the ice cream business). here's a favorite purveyor in new york city.
Grom has three locations in New York City.
because i would totally buy it! until then, i've just got to find some fashionable little lady that needs this darling frock.
Olivia dress, $72 at Pink Chicken.
gosh, i haven't talked about menswear since march 22nd! how remiss of me. stumbled across this a couple of weeks ago and i liked the styling of this outfit. probably because i have shorts the exact same color and this is a good reminder that gray is a nice compliment to yellow though it's a bit trendy at the minute.
Rodney shorts, $148 at Steven Alan.
